turn the lock around on the door, and buy a couple of sets of ear plugs. or you may find better results by laying with him until he falls asleep for a few nights, or weeks, or months. heck, i don't know, sedatives? ask your husband if i am supossed to teach the lesson this week. ta ta.
hmmm. Does he have something he has to sleep with, like a blanket or soft animal. Maybe you could tell him he only gets it if he sleeps in his big boy bed. I saw a super nanny episode one time where she had the parents put the kid in bed then sit on the floor next to the door not looking a the child and everytime he/she would get up the parent would have to put the kid back in bed without saying a word and then go back to thier spot. It took a couple of night but it worked. It seemed a little harsh if you ask me though. Good luck!!
I had to lay next to Macy and hold her in bed for the first few nights. She was only 1 when she was kicked out of the crib since Stu was on the way. We had a night light in there. Our beds have always been against the wall to prevent falls on one side (wild sleepers here) and we had the bed gate deal on the other. Super Nanny uses that trick lots, you put them down with kisses, etc; first time out you say it's bedtime; third time and on you just put them in bed with no words. We have to do that with Fiona still sometimes. It's lots of work, so start earlier than bedtime....it could take hours depending on how head strong Mr. B is.....Good luck....it's a good thing you are a night owl.
We had a routine every night. We would get a snack, brush teeth... pick a book & read it to them in their bed... then that was that. We would say our prayers & tell them that we would lay with them a short time & then get up & go. The first couple of times they would whimper, but then they would just know that this was the deal....No changes...Good Luck
How's it going? At first with Rylee we would sit with her for about 5 mintues and talk about her day.(things she did and friends she played with) Then a kiss and hug and in bed. After a while she didn't need the snuggle every night so now we read two stories and she likes a song then bedtime. Some nights she gets put back in 4 to 5 times but eventually she gives up.
I am a 24 year old stay at home momma who LOVES raising my babies, Benson and Shay, scrapbooking, sports, and AJ.... in no particular order. My life is simple most of the time, and crazy, hectic, chaos the rest of the time. I wouldn't have it any other way....
