Lovers and Friends

Outside it is cold, snowy, and yucky, nothing like inside. AJ and I just had the BEST weekend. What did we do? nothing. It was fabulous. We snuggled, laughed at our kids, went on a drive,watched movies, snuggled some more. We even kissed like newlyweds. It was such a heavenly way to spend this wintry weekend.... now it's Monday and I am lonely for my guy.
Shay is doing so good in her crib. I totally shouldn't have waited this long to kick her out. She is napping better and sleeping through the night again. Our baby is getting big. She spends the whole day exploring the house; I am having to make sure the nooks and crannies and corners are all cleaned of Bensons crumbs. The only complaint she has is when she crawls into a space she can't find her way out of. Again, she is a sweetheart.
Benson is starting to enjoy having a sister..........finally. He loves to pull her around and show her cool stuff. I think he really wants to wrestle with her but knows that will earn him a time-out so he does it discretely. Maybe a steam roll every now and then... which he calls a hug. Me and AJ had a hard time being mad when he gives us his dimpled smile and says, "Sorry Shay." Having these two, no these three, really makes me grateful for our Heavenly Father's plan. He has given me such a gift, such a blessing to be the mom of this goof-troop.

AJ set up Shay's crib today. We all (AJ, Shay, and I) will be glad to have her out of our room and into her own. A girl needs her own space you know. I can't wait to get her room all decorated and share a picture with you!

Twinkle, twinkle

I know some two-year-olds sing songs all by themselves, but mine doesn't. However I have that swelling of motherly pride because he will fill in the blanks. A bedtime song from last night....

"Twinkle, twinkle little star

Up above the world so high,

So instead of sleeping, Benson and I were giggling in his little boy bed. Another moment I hope to remember.

Pink, pink, and more pink

PiNK... One of the things about having a girl that excited me most. And I haven't been disappointed. My life finally has a splash of pink. Two years ago when I started scrapbooking I bought pink things along the way simply because I couldn't resist... I am now loving it!

I know only about 3 people read my blog, both of my kids grandmas and my friend Ashli, but I hope you don't mind if I start sharing a little more of my kids scrapbooks on here. I hate that I spend so much time on them and they just go into an album to be peaked at once in a while. So mostly for the grandmas... a little look at their books. Also I don't really know how to photograph them so they don't look crooked...

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I am just posting this picture to thank my niece, Alex, for showing me a super cool photo editing program. I played around with this picture of Shay for a couple of minutes and I liked the effects.
